Baseball Bounce

It was a wonderful afternoon, everyone on my street was outside and I was at home watching my brother while my parents were out. I was sitting outside enjoying to watch my brother play with his new toy from Easter having a blast. The birds were all chirping and there was not a cloud in sight, perfect weather to be outside. My brother got tired after a while a went to go sit down near the net and demanded that I play with the new toy. The net wasn't really a toy at all though, it was like a batting cage. The net didn't quite fit the size of the cage so my mom stretched it out to cover the whole thing and of course then when you through the ball the netting was so tight that the ball would fly back at you like a boomer-rang.I walked over and through the baseball as hard as I could at the net just as my brother scooted in front of the net to watch me play. The ball hit the net a bounced back and hit my poor brother right in the head in between his eyes on the nose. I felt so bad. On top of that, my brother refuses to use ice packs so all i had to use were the nasty frozen peas that we always seemed to have. I grabbed the peas and sat my brother out front with the frozen pack of peas of his head where he got hit. Everyone saw him holding the peas to his head including my parents when they pulled in our driveway. I had alot of explaining to do.

  1. I love that you used frozen peas as an ice pack! Also your word choice when describing the setting works really well to set up a perfect morning and make your reader suspicious that all will soon go wrong.

  2. Awwww poor Tyler! I really liked how you used a lot of detail throughout the story, and I liked how it was a sibling conflict, those are always the funniest! Great job Kasey!
